HEPHAESTUS / VEHICLES

The Fleet

Every vehicle on site carries its own onboard AI brain and runs without remote control. MurrAI assigns the work; each vehicle drives and executes it. See How It Works for the full autonomy stack.

Active build

Cerberus V1 — The Forklift

Cerberus is the forklift - the logistics backbone of Hephaestus. It lifts, carries, and places materials autonomously, keeping the construction site supplied. Built from 3D-printed PETG with a modular deck system, it runs its own AI brain onboard (no cloud needed for driving). Cerberus was the first vehicle in the fleet and proved the core autonomy stack.

RoleForklift - lifts, places, and organises materials on-site
Scale~1/14 (400mm × 280mm × 120mm)
BrainJetson Orin Nano Super running MurrAI Drive VLM onboard
DriveTank/skid steer (4WD, differential drive)
Body3D-printed PETG modular chassis
What it doesMoves pallets, printed parts, and materials around the construction site

First wheel motion confirmed, motor drivers wired, Jetson imaged and running.

Spec & design phase

Cyclops — The Dump Truck

Cyclops is the dump truck - named after Hephaestus's tireless forge workers. It hauls dirt, gravel, and materials between the quarry, stockpile, and active construction zones. Designed for real loads (5-8 kg of damp sand) with a powered dump bed, full construction lighting, and tank steering that lets it turn in place. Each wheel has its own motor - no steering linkage to break, just raw skid-steer power.

RoleDump truck - hauls spoil, delivers bulk materials
Scale1/14 (~450mm × 280mm × 280mm)
BrainJetson Orin Nano Super (per-vehicle MurrAI Drive VLM)
DriveTank steer 4WD, 4× independent motors
Body3D-printed PETG, 3-module bolt-together design
FeaturesElectric dump bed, full lighting suite (headlights, reverse, beacon, beeper)
